Psychotherapy

At MarriageWorks our individual counseling and psychotherapy practice serves adults and mature adolescents. Many of the people we treat are high-achievers who are surprised to find themselves struggling with internal and interpersonal problems. Others have been dealing with these problems for a very long time.

Your therapist will provide a confidential, safe, therapeutic relationship that will nurture and support your healing and allow you to explore, at your own pace, the issues that are so deeply troubling to you. Our psychotherapy is a healthy process of engagement and, at times, silence (“rests” in music are every bit as important as the notes) that interrupt the disturbing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are negatively affecting your life. At the end of the initial evaluation our clinical impressions and recommendations will be shared with you. The recommendations may involve only psychotherapy or psychotherapy in combination with medication and/or other forms of treatment.
